Our History

The Dry stone Walling Association ( DSWA) was formed in 1968 to counter the then almost terminal decline of the craft. We are a non-profit registered charity (no 289678).

As a result of it’s efforts, on behalf of professional and amateur members alike, there has been a substantial upturn in the fortunes of dry stone walling. Members receive a magazine, The Waller and Dyker, three times a year which contains general interest and specialist articles and details of branch activities.
